Powering the Next Era: NTA Energy Solutions Marks Anniversary with APC Summit 2026

18 July 2026

QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES — In celebration of its company anniversary, NTA Energy Solutions Corporation successfully hosted its Annual Automation, Protection, and Control (APC) Summit 2026 from July 15 to 16, 2026, at the Seda Vertis North Hotel in Quezon City. Gathering industry leaders, utility partners, and top engineering experts, the two-day event marked a major milestone in NTA’s ongoing evolution from a premier SCADA system provider into a full-scale, end-to-end Substation Automation and Smart Grid System Provider.

Driven by a commitment to elevate the Philippines' power infrastructure, the summit showcased cutting-edge innovations in digital substations, virtualized automation, asset intelligence, and advanced network communications.

A Vision for Modern, Resilient, and Digital Grids

Opening the summit, NTA leadership highlighted the strategic pivot in the company’s trajectory. While NTA built its strong reputation on robust SCADA solutions, today’s complex energy landscape demands integrated, intelligent, and scalable systems.

To give partners and clients a comprehensive look into the future of grid modernization, NTA brought together global industry leaders and technical executives to present the latest breakthroughs across key technology domains:

1. Substation Protection & Analytics

  • Engr. Eniyavan Kunchidapatham (Sr. Engineer – Technical and Customer Support, ERLPhase Power Technologies) presented on Protection Relays and Disturbance Recorders, highlighting how high-fidelity fault recording and precise relay protection ensure power system stability and minimize downtime during grid anomalies.

2. Next-Gen Network Infrastructure

  • Engr. Ray Lock (Global Market Director, Solution Architect Sales, Westermo Network Technologies) detailed the critical communication backbone required for modern utilities, focusing on Rugged Switches, Industrial Servers for Virtual Substations, and 4G/5G Routers for SCADA. He emphasized how mission-critical connectivity supports secure, real-time data flow across vast geographical networks.

3. Virtualization & Grid Automation Technologies

  • Engr. Jeremy Anderson (Senior Vice President, Engineering, NovaTech Automation) unveiled key developments in the Orion Grid Automation Platform, introducing the OrionVX (Virtual RTU designed for virtualized substations), the Argus Orion Asset Management Software, and the Crius Merging Unit for IEC 61850 digital substation architectures.

4. End-to-End Engineering Services

  • Engr. Eric Schultz (Senior Vice President, Power Delivery, N2 Engineers / NovaTech Automation) highlighted the importance of turnkey expertise through Professional Engineering Services. His session covered complex Protection Relay Coordination, Substation Electrical Design, and complete SCADA System Design and Integration Services tailored for modern utilities.

5. Advanced Grid Management

  • Engr. Andrew Cruz (Survalent Technology Corporation) delivered an insightful session on Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), exploring how integrated SCADA, Distribution Management, and Outage Management platforms optimize grid reliability and operational efficiency.

6. Intelligent Asset Management & Analytics

  • Engr. Jari Malvela (Regional Director ASEAN, IPS Energy / Megger) rounded out the technical showcase with the IPS Systems Software Suite, demonstrating how advanced analytics and asset performance management (APM) enable predictive maintenance and extend the lifecycle of critical power assets.

Strengthening Partnerships, Building the Future

Beyond the technical presentations, the summit served as an interactive platform for Philippine power utilities, electric cooperatives, and industrial stakeholders to collaborate directly with global solution providers and NTA’s engineering team.

"Our transition from a trusted SCADA provider to a complete Smart Grid and Substation Automation partner is a direct response to the evolving needs of Philippine utilities," noted by Mr. Paulo Reyes, Vice President for Sales and Technical Operations, during the event. "By bringing world-class technologies and deep engineering capabilities together under one roof, we empower our partners to build self-healing, resilient, and future-ready power networks."

As NTA Energy Solutions Corporation moves forward into its next chapter, the success of the 2026 Annual Summit reinforces its role as a key catalyst in the digital transformation of the Philippine power sector.
